Burn patient fly-out on the Maryland side

While Ladder 74 and Utility 74 were handling a vehicle into a power pole on the Delaware side, a medical call was dispatched by Maryland for a burn patient. Paramedic B-74 and EMS 74 responded. Maryland State Police Trooper 4 helicopter was requested for a fly-out to Hopkins-Bayview Hospital. Ladder 74 was able to clear the accdient scene and responded along with Delmar Police to secure a landing zone in the field next to Hardee's, at US-13 and E. Line Road. Engine 74-1 also responded to the landing zone. Delmar Police units provided an escort from the scene to the landing zone. The patient was transferred to Medevac Trooper 4 and flown to Bayview in Baltimore.
