Ladder 74 and Utility 74 responded for a vehicle that struck a power pole, causing the pole to split and sending wires down. There were no injuries. The vehicle hit the pole at the intersection of Bi-State Boulevard and Allens Mill Road. The vehicle came to a stop approximately a mile south of that location. Bi-State Boulevard was closed for a considerable distance between Allens Mill and Old Racetrack Road while fire department and police units operated at the two locations.
