Delmar Fire was dispatched for a residential AFA, upon ET742 arrival found smoke showing from the front door of a single story SFD, requesting the box to be filled.
Et742 assumed first due engine assignment stretching their cross lay side A discovering a dryer fire and quickly extinguishing the blaze and completing a primary search. Truck 74 took first due special and began ventilation and secondary searches which all served to be negative.
This was a positive outcome to the use of a fire alarm system.
Mutual aid departments alerted but were put in service prior to arrival were Laurel, Blades and Seaford.
