At 18:35 hours Delmar Fire Department was alerted to respond into Salisbury to assist Station 2 with a Motor Vehicle Collision, while Salisbury Fire Dept units were already responding to a report of a building fire. 74 Command responded to southbound US 13 in the area of w. North Pointe Drive and found a three vehicle collision, with one patient trapped. The incident was upgraded to a rescue. Two additional EMS units were also requested. Delmar Truck 74-4 and Engine 74-1 arrived, stabilized and began removal of the passenger door of the car. Tower 16 and Assistant Chief 2 responded and Tower 16's crew assisted with patient extrication. A total of 4 patients were transported to Peninsula Regional.
