On July 11, 2015, Sussex EOC alerted Stations 74 and 79, along with Sussex County Medics and Trooper 2 to an MVC with Rescue. 74 Command arrived on scene and 74-19 (A.Abbott) established Whitesville Road command. Units arrived to find a 2 vehicle T-bone style MVC with a female subject trapped in the car. Crews from Rescue 74 and Rescue 79 worked to free the trapped driver in a little over 20 minutes. Paramedic A-74 and and Sussex Medic 102 treated the patient on scene before moving her to Trooper 2. The patient was transported by air to a local Trauma Center. Fire police from both stations closed the two roads during the incident.
