First due commercial building fire

October 24, 2025

On October 24th, 2025 Wicomico EOC began receiving calls for a structure fire on Bi-State Blvd in Delmar on the Maryland side. Units arrived to find a large auto body shop well involved. Shortly after the first units arrived, the roof collapsed. A second alarm and tanker task force was requested, brining numerous stations from Wicomico and Sussex counties. Several other departments provided numerous cover ups throughout the region. Crews operated for 3 hours on the fire ground. No injuries were reported and the Maryland State Fire Marshal Office is investigating.
