Sussex Fire Box 74-8, residential structure fire. Stations 74, 81, 2, 6 and 79 alerted for a house fire with subjects reported trapped on Line Road. Utility 74-8 with Chief Elliott arrived on-scene and took incident command with fire showing from side D. Good samaritans removed the subject from the house prior to fire department arrival. There were no injuries.
Engine-Tanker 74-2 arrived and it's crew stretched their bumper 1 3/4" hand line, extinguishing exterior flames and then made entry through side A and found fire in the attic space.
Truck 74-4's crew completed an interior search with negative results and laddered the roof. Salisbury Truck 1's crew cut a hole in the roof to provide ventilation. Other units on-scene including Parsonsburg and Laurel firefighters assisted with overhaul.
Units operated for approximately 90 minutes and included;
Delmar Utility 74-8, Engine-Tanker 74-2, Truck 74-4, Tanker 74-5, Paramedic B-74.
