Serious MVC / Level-1 MCI in Delmar

Serious motor vehicle collision on Delmar Road. Delmar and Laurel were dispatched for Sussex Rescue Box 74-2, motor vehicle collision with entrapment at the intersection of Delmar Road & Old Racetrack Road. Units arrived to find a two vehicle collision with multiple patients. A Level-1 MCI (Mass Casualty Incident) was declared bringing additional EMS units to the scene. Laurel Tower 81 and Blades Engine 71-3 were already staffed clearing a Box Alarm and were requested to respond to the scene for manpower. 6 high priority trauma patients were transported by Delmar, Hebron and Mardela Springs to Tidal Health Peninsula Regional Hospital.
