Tanker assist in Bethel

At 02:46 Delmar was initially dispatched to provide an Engine stand-by at Station 81 Laurel. The call was changed to a Tanker assist to the scene of a garage fire in the Bethel area. Engine-Tanker 74-2 and Tanker 74-5 responded. Firefighters from the Engine-Tanker assisted with overhaul at the fireground. Engine-Tanker 74-2 and Tanker 74-5 assisted with a water shuttle. Bridgeville Tanker 72, Engine 72-9 and Georgetown Engine-Tanker 77-8 also participated with water supply. An engine company from Greenwood set up a water refill site on Seaford Road in Laurel. Firefighters from Laurel, Blades, Seaford and Sharptown handled fire suppression and overhaul. Sussex County EMS and ambulances from Laurel and Blades provided EMS stand-by at the scene. Hebron Engine-Tanker 5 provided a fire stand-by at Station 74 Delmar.
