Pick-up truck on fire in Delmar

Saturday’s duty crew at Delmar Fire Dept responded for a working vehicle fire at southbound Sussex Hwy and Line Road. 74 Command, Engine 74-1, Rescue 74-6, Engine 74-3, Traffic Control 74-9 and Paramedic A-74 responded. Units arrived and found a GMC Sierra with a well involved engine compartment fire. Crews quickly stretched a hand line and extinguished the fire. Units remained on scene and awaited the arrival of DELDOT due to pavement damage to the highway. No injures.
