Just before 8 am, Delmar Fire Department was dispatched for a chimney fire. Prior to responding, Central upgraded the call to a working house fire. 74-1 arrived on location to find smoke showing from a two story single family residence. The crew pulled a 1 3/4 to the 2nd floor and found fire in the wall. Salisbury Truck 2 arrived on location and checked the attic for extension. A ventilation hole was cut to remove smoke and heat. Crews from Hebron Fire Department Engine-Tanker 5 and Ladder 5 opened up the 1st floor and assisted with overhaul throughout. Parsonsburg Fire Department sent Engine 605 to Delmar for stand-by.
