Wednesday evening, April 3, became busy in the Delmar Fire district with 3 fire calls for service in 90 minutes. A woods fire, AFA and vehicle fire. The woods fire was on E. Snake Rd and was quickly contained by Brush 74-0. Engine 74-1 and Engine-Tanker 74-2 also responded.
Quickly after going in quarters, Station 74 was alerted for an Automatic Fire Alarm activation (AFA). 74 Command, ET 74-2 and Truck 74-4 responded. Prior to the arrival of the AFA, a large unknown fire was observed by 74-2’s crew and Truck 74 was diverted by 74CMD to investigate. ET 74-2 continued in to the AFA and found everything to be OK.
Truck 74 arrived in the Heron Ponds subdivision to find a well involved vehicle fire. Truck 74 stretched a 1” 3/4 handline and made a quick knock. 74-2 and 74 Command cleared the AFA and responded to the vehicle fire to assist.
