Delmar Fire Dept responded for a Motor Vehicle Collision with entrapment in Maryland on Jersey Road near Burnt Branch Road. Units arrived to find a two vehicle head-on collision and confirmed entrapment. Extrication was complete in 10 minutes. A total of 3 patients were transported by Delmar Paramedic A-74, Ambulance B-74 and Hebron Paramedic B-5. Rescue 74 and Engine 74-3 were also on-scene.
At nearly the same time this accident was dispatched, Delmar was alerted for a Motor Vehicle Collision in Delaware on Delmar Road near Providence Church Road. Engine 74-3 initially responded for that incident along with Ambulances from Hebron and Mardela Springs. Units responding to that incident were unable to locate any vehicle accidents in the area reported. Updated information was that this accident was called in by On-Star due to an emergency signal activation from a vehicle. After an additional search by Delmar Engine 74-3, Hebron Paramedic B-5 and Mardela Springs Ambulance B-9 failed to locate the incident, it was determined this accident was one in the same as the incident further down the road on Jersey Road. Engine 74-3 and Paramedic B-5 continued to the Jersey Road scene. Ambulance B-9 cleared the call and returned to service.
