A rainy 4th of July holiday kept Delmar Fire Dept busy with both fire and medical calls. The day began with a hit-and-run non-injury accident involving a pick-up striking a pole and knocking wires down onto an unoccupied vehicle. Later in the day Stations 74, 2 & 5 were alerted for a house fire on Bi-State Blvd with a caller reporting black smoke from the roof of a house. Units arrived to find no fire and all units were put in service.
Additionally, Delmar Engine-Tanker 74-2 and Ambulance B-74 were in Laurel providing stand-by coverage during the Laurel 4th of July Parade and Fireworks.
